So this happened Tuesday, and it’s kind of a big deal for me.
First, for those who don’t know, Tuesday was the release day for Queen of the Ruins, Book 2 in my latest series, The High Crown Chronicles. It was very exciting for me, it was such a thrill to have The High Crown Chronicles finally in print, but then to have it’s sequel released isn’t even something I’d ever imagined (well, until I wrote the book!).
Anyway, as I mentioned, it was a Tuesday and you may not know this about authors, but most of us do this thing on Tuesdays where we…well, we go to work like everyone else. So I spent release day at work, doing the things, then came home and did the things. Honestly, release day kind of got away from me. I made dinner and finally collapsed into a chair beside my husband to relax and watch The Office. I checked my phone and had a message from a friend on Twitter telling me this…

Please notice the orange banner there. The one that says “#1 New Release.” Yeah, right there by my book! That is the first time I’ve ever had an orange banner on one of my books and (to quote the 1980’s me) I’m stoked! Also, a huge shout-out to Tiffany for looking out for me and not letting me be entirely clueless!
Also, I will be resuming my newsletter in January. If you’d like to be included on inside information about my books, my writing process, and get exclusive content, you can sign up here (there will be no more than 1-2 emails per month, I promise!).
