About

Jodi is a YA and NA writer, black belt, registered nurse and case manager for a busy home health agency. She lives with her husband, three sons and an evolving herd of undisciplined animals in Colorado. She has a well-earned fear of bears, but tolerates the Teddy and Gummy variety. She has been obsessed with books, both reading and writing them, for most of her life and prefers the written word to having actual conversations. The most current projected completion date of her To Be Read book collection is May 17, 2176.

  1. I could have written that About page almost word for word. Especially about the YCS and the three boys: the oldest of which is a chatty cathy, the middle one being the cute yet catastrophic, and the little guy insisting on waking me still each night while he silently learns his impending behaviors from his brothers during the day.

    Really…freaky. The similarities are uncanny!

So now I guess I should start reading the blog. I just couldn’t go any further without responding to this first.

Well, I’m glad you stopped by. It sounds like you’re perfect for the support group I’m trying to start. It’s a perfect group, really, you don’t have to get out of your (jammies/sweats/over-sized T-shirt) or brush your teeth because we just meet online and drink cocktails until someone either posts an inappropriate photo of themselves or passes out on the keyboard. So, grab some Jim Beam and a bottle of breast milk and mix yourself a cocktail! The girls will be waiting…

  2. Well, I have a boy and two girls, but I hear ya about all the rest! And right now I have an ample supply of breast milk. Unless I’m hooked up to the pump.

Disgruntled Mom . . . you are absolutely awesome! I got to your site because of the fantastic review you wrote on “Thirteen Hours In Benghazi”. I have four granddaughters and 13 great grandchildren, and each of my beloved granddaughters need to read everything you say. You are marvelous!!

Re: Benghazi, Kris Paranto is from Omaha and is a friend. The book is great and with you I say the movie is fantastic. And that John, he is awesome in this role and he believes in it completely. I saw him on Ellen one day and he said it changed his life and his beliefs as he got to know these wonderful heroes who put their lives on the line to save their fellow man. He worked closely with Tig, Oz and Kris and was amazed at their story and learned so much from a side of life he had never before even observed. So, I’m with you — he is beyond awesome. They all are. Don’t you think?

Well, if you’re friends with Kris, then you and I are practically homies 🙂 He grew up here and was our local football hero (graduated a year behind me). I agree that they are all amazing guys.
